The Extensor Hi-Fidelity PCR Enzyme Mix is a blend of ABgene®’s Thermoprime Plus DNA Polymerase with Pwo, the thermostable proofreading enzyme from P. Woesei. The two enzymes act synergistically, forming a mix that can amplify DNA templates with at least double the yields and four times higher fidelity than standard Taq DNA polymerase. The system can also generate larger products than either enzyme individually (>20kb). This makes the enzyme mix ideal for the full-length amplification of sequences for cloning.
Two alternative buffers are supplied with the Extensor PCR Enzyme Mix: Extensor Buffer 1 is used for amplifications up to 12kb. Extensor Buffer 2 is used for amplifications longer than 12kb or problematic PCR. The 10x buffers both contain 22.5mM.
Mg Cl2. An additional vial of 25mM Mg Cl2 is provided for any optimisation that may be necessary. Store below 0°C, preferably at -20°C, in a constant temperature freezer. Shipped on ice. |
